In 1964, Norah Henry goes into labor during a fierce snowstorm that forces her husband, orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Henry, to deliver her fraternal twins; one, a healthy boy and the other, a girl with Down syndrome. Seeing the handicapped little girl, David instructs his nurse to take her to a home and informs his wife that the boy’s twin died during labor. David’s deception and guilt corrodes his marriage with his wife and son for 25 years until his secret is revealed. It’s a painful reminder of how lies can corrupt the relationship between a husband and wife.
World Trade Center

Five years after two planes collided into the World Trade Center and plunged America into a world this generation has never seen, Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone brings us the true story of two Port Authority policemen who were trapped in the rubble. It’s a harrowing and emotional story documenting the two men, John McLoughlin (Cage) and Will Jimeno (Pena), who became trapped in the World Trade Center after trying to help people escape. Perhaps wisely, Stone chooses not to focus too much on the events surrounding the collapse of the towers and all the political implications that come with it, but instead shares the painful but triumphant story through the eyes of two men and their families.

Christina Aguilera

It’s been four years since we’ve seen Christina Aguilera’s alter ego Xtina shake her dirrty moneymaker, but she’s back and this time she’s noticeably grown up and mature sounding. Back to Basics brings a funk unlike any other sound heard on the radio today with its old-school jazz, blues and soul-inspired tracks, and Aguilera nails them like a modern-day Billie Holiday. It’s a fun album that’s guaranteed to make you shake your own moneymaker as Aguilera takes a step back in time.
